ANGEL WANJIKU

GIRLS LEADERSHIP PRESIDENT

Angel is 15 years old and in high school. She joined Wounded Healers in 2020 as a scholar. She consistently attended all her therapy sessions, leadership training, and mentorship without fail. She transformed from a girl who could not maintain eye contact to a very brave girl who leads and speaks in front of hundreds of people.

Like many teenagers, she learned to be comfortable with her body image and set boundaries in her life.

She brings a lot of knowledge to wounded Healer’s management; She represents all the other girls at board meetings, strategic planning, and implementation. her openness and ideas on how to support girls are always called for.

Her biggest inspiration is Wangari Maathai and the work she did in the environment; she hopes that with her involvement with community work, she will take care of the environment and plant ten trees each year.

Angel want to be a musician when she grow up, and her dream country was London.
