Survivor-Led · Trauma-Informed · Culturally Rooted
GET INVOLVED
Whether you give, volunteer, travel to Kenya, or simply share our story — every action moves the Women Village of Peace closer to reality.
GIVE
Every dollar goes directly to Kenya — funding the safe house, the learning center, the daycare, and the Women Village of Peace campaign.
One week of a girl’s education
Counseling for a survivor in the safe house
Monthly safe housing for a mother and child
Vocational training that builds independence
VOLUNTEER
WHI is entirely volunteer-led. We need skilled, committed people who believe in this mission and want to give their time to make it real.
Remote
Help us research and write grant applications to fund the Kenya programs and the Women Village of Peace campaign. Experience in nonprofit fundraising preferred.
Remote
Help us tell the story — through social media, email newsletters, blog posts, and donor communications. Writers, designers, and strategists welcome.
Remote
Help us plan and run fundraising campaigns, donor gatherings, and community events that raise money and awareness for the mission.
Professional
We welcome pro bono support from lawyers, accountants, and financial professionals who can help strengthen our organizational infrastructure.
Kenya
Travel to Kenya and work directly with Wounded Healers Kenya — supporting programs, building relationships, and witnessing the work firsthand. See our Mission Trips page for details.
Professional
Know a foundation, corporation, or major donor who cares about sexual violence, women’s empowerment, or Kenya? Make the introduction. It could change everything.
MISSION TRIPS
There is nothing like standing in the same room as the women you are helping. Seeing the safe house. Meeting the girls. Understanding what is at stake — and what is already possible.
WHI organizes short-term mission trips to Kenya for volunteers, donors, and community members who want to experience the work firsthand and deepen their commitment to the mission.
What to expect: Visits to Wounded Healers Kenya programs · Meetings with staff and residents · Witnessing graduation ceremonies and community events · Learning about the Women Village of Peace site · Building lasting relationships with the Kenya team
Mission trips are self-funded. We help coordinate logistics, introductions, and itineraries.
SPREAD THE WORD
You do not need money or a plane ticket to make a difference. Telling our story — in your community, your church, your workplace, your social media — opens doors we could not open alone.
READY TO STEP IN?
