Safe House & Community Spaces

A refuge and recovery center offering medical care, counseling, legal support, and pathways to long-term stability for survivors of sexual violence.

City of Peace Safe House

We Provide Healing & Safe Housing

At the heart of our Kenya program is the City of Peace Safe House — a refuge for pregnant teens, young mothers, and girls escaping sexual violence.

  • Trauma-informed counseling
  • Prenatal and maternal healthcare
  • Parenting and life skills support
  • Child care for their babies
  • Temporary housing and pathways to long-term stability

We also operate community-based safe spaces that extend this healing environment beyond shelter walls, reaching girls in the places they live and learn.

We Champion Education for Her Future

Too many girls are pushed out of school due to sexual violence, early pregnancy, or poverty. We provide the support they need to return to learning and stay in school.

  • Primary and secondary education for teen mothers, with support to complete national exams
  • Adult literacy programs and tutoring for those who never had the chance to finish school
  • A public library serving children, youth, and adults — a safe, welcoming space to study and learn
  • Digital and computer literacy programs that build practical skills and confidence

Prevention & Gender Justice

We Engage Communities & Advance Gender Justice

Lasting change requires transforming the culture around violence. Our prevention programs engage men, boys, elders, and local leaders to confront root causes.

  • Harmful gender norms — challenged through education and dialogue
  • Economic inequality — addressed through opportunity and skills
  • Silence and stigma — broken through storytelling and art

We use sports, storytelling, art, and community dialogue to spark awareness, challenge injustice, and build a culture where every girl is protected, celebrated, and free.

Pathways to Economic Independence

Women earn income, build resilience, and take leadership — shaping a future free from violence through skills, enterprise, and community.

Economic Empowerment

We Build Economic Empowerment & Leadership

Financial independence is a critical component of long-term recovery and protection against re-exploitation. Our programs equip women with skills, resources, and support to achieve economic stability.

  • Vocational training in tailoring, beauty therapy, agribusiness, and other marketable skills
  • Support to start self-help groups — including legal registration, group savings, and microloans
  • A survivor-led social enterprise where women produce and sell handcrafted goods — 100% of proceeds reinvested into survivor support
  • Mentorship and leadership development to equip women and girls to lead in their communities
