There Are Many Ways to Help
Every woman who finds safety, every girl who stays in school, every survivor who begins to heal — it happens because someone chose to show up. That someone can be you. Whether you give, go, host, lead, or simply share — your involvement matters.
The Most Immediate Ways to Help
Financial Support
Your gift goes directly to the women and girls who need it most — keeping the City of Peace Safe House open, funding education and vocational training in Kenya, and supporting healing programs in Maine and globally. Every dollar is put to work.
$25 supports a week of education · $50 funds counseling · $100 covers monthly safe housing · $250 funds vocational training
Go to Kenya
Come to Kenya and see the work with your own eyes. Visit the City of Peace Safe House, meet the women and girls building new lives, and contribute your skills — whether in healthcare, education, construction, or community support.
Trips organized annually · Open to individuals, teams & faith communities · Contact us to learn more
Use your platform, your space, and your network to grow awareness and support
Show WHI’s documentary in your community — at your church, school, library, workplace, or home. Film screenings are one of the most powerful ways to introduce people to this work and inspire action.
Host a dinner party, community breakfast, faith offering, or fundraising event in support of WHI. We provide materials, talking points, and our team will join virtually to share about the work.
Invite a WHI leader to speak at your organization, faith community, university, or event — about sexual violence, survivor-led healing, or the work in Kenya and Maine. Virtual and in-person available.
Show up in person — in Kenya, in Maine, or in your own community
Join a WHI mission trip to visit the City of Peace Safe House in Kenya. Bring your skills, your heart, and your presence. Open to individuals, families, faith communities, and professional teams.

Leadership & Governance
Wounded Healers International is governed by a diverse, committed Board of Directors that guides our strategy, ensures accountability, and opens doors to resources, networks, and partnerships that advance our mission.
We are growing. We are always looking for leaders who share our values and want to apply their expertise to advancing justice for African women and girls.
We also welcome Corporate, Faith, and University Partners who want to align their organization with this mission through sponsorship, internship pipelines, volunteer programs, or strategic partnership.
Board Membership & Partnership
Board members serve in a volunteer capacity and are expected to attend quarterly meetings, actively participate in governance, contribute their expertise, and help open doors for the organization.
Interested in board service, an organizational partnership, or a conversation about how your institution can support this work? We would love to hear from you.
You don’t have to do everything. You just have to do something. Whether you donate $25 today, share this page with one person, or inquire about a mission trip to Kenya — your step forward changes lives.
