This project provides a holistic support system for immigrant women survivors of sexual violence by fostering integration, healing, and empowerment. Through English language learning, cultural orientation, support groups, and wellness activities, the project ensures that participants gain the confidence and skills to navigate their new environment while building strong social connections.
Each month, women gather for support group meetings where they share experiences, learn essential life skills, and engage in cultural and recreational activities that promote mental and physical well-being. Activities such as yoga, storytelling, pottery, and community outings help reduce isolation, build resilience, and create a sense of belonging.
This initiative is rooted in trauma-informed care and a culturally responsive approach, ensuring that women receive language support, healing spaces, and practical knowledge to rebuild their lives in the U.S. The project also strengthens economic independence by equipping participants with the confidence to seek jobs, start businesses, or further their education.
