Maine Afro Yoga Project

The Maine Afro Yoga Project is a community-centered program dedicated to promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and resilience through trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices. Rooted in Afro Yoga traditions and led by our BIPOC community, we intentionally center BIPOC teachers to address systemic inequities in leadership and influence.

The project strives to create an inclusive, supportive, and healing environment where individuals, especially immigrants and people of color, can recover from trauma, build resilience, and achieve mental and emotional well-being.
