The safe house offers temporary housing, holistic support, and a transformative path to independence through education and skill development.

Holistic Support and Comprehensive Services

At the City of Peace Safe House, our mission is to help young survivors rebuild their lives, restore their dignity, and transition into self-sufficient adulthood. Our holistic approach includes:

  • Safe and Supportive Housing: Providing temporary shelter for those escaping abuse or at risk of homelessness.
  • Counseling and Mental Health Services: Offering trauma-informed care to support emotional healing.
  • Life Skills and Parenting Classes: Preparing young mothers for self-reliance and confident parenting.
  • Legal Aid and Advocacy: Assisting survivors in accessing justice and legal protection.
  • Healthcare Services: Including prenatal, maternal, and comprehensive medical support.
  • Childcare and Crisis Intervention: Ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and children.

Empowerment Through Education and Skill Building

The City of Peace Safe House integrates a Community Learning Center that provides survivors with educational and vocational training opportunities to build brighter futures:

  • Primary and Secondary Education: Offering a second chance to complete education through Kenya National Examination Council-recognized programs.
  • Vocational Training: Including computer literacy, beauty therapy, entrepreneurship, tailoring, and digital skills.
